Fenugreek, commonly known as Methi in Hindi, is a a plant in the family Fabaceae. The seeds of a leguminous plant eaten as a vegetable. 

The seeds are used as a condiment or seasoning. The flavors of these seeds are mildly bitter and at the same time are slightly sweet.

Fenugreek has been used both as a food or food additive as well as in medicines.
